Finished painting the studio this week – boring! and I bet nobody notices.
Have started on some preparation work for Childhood memoriesfor the Contemporary Quilt Group Suitcase Collection challenge. At first I thought what an awful title, but having given it some thought I have loads of ideas. I am working on the idea of our dining room curtains. I found them last year, my mother obviously couldnt bear to get rid of the fabric. They were made of Lucienne Day fabric.

Samples for next term

Have been busy working on some new ideas for a project for next term

I have had a really busy few days working at different places. I have finished my July 4×8 and have a tidy studio!

July Quilt

My contemporary quilt for July is finished and I have started on the July 4×8.
The quilt is machine embroidered on applique, using hand dyed fabrics.
The 4×8 is painted and I intend to applique loads of orange flags on to some additional machine embroidery

New Work

I am back from my holiday and have been busy working all day on my new pieces.
I have completed my 5×5 for July- this one is the brown one.It is an applique of the trekkers hut that I stayed at in Belguim. I have also finished my June 4×8 for next years Holmfirth Art Week challenge. It is based on Crossley Heath School.
I also managed to start on my Comtemporary Quilt Group piece for July, based on the fridge magnets in the Flower Market in AmsterdamIMG_3854
