I opened The Quilter magazine today to find the review of my book
This is what is said about it
“A keen traveller and lover of ethnic textiles, this lavishly illustrated book showcases Gillian’s quilts and embroideries inspired by her journeys and finds along the way. Besides images of her work, including close ups there are photographs taken on her travels, sketches and the stories behind pieces. as well as ideas for textile creations of your own, you may have your appetite whetted to plan overseas adventures – or at least to keep a sketchbook.
my Pennine Contrasts piece is also being used to advertise the Made in yorkshire exhibition to be held at the Quilt Museum in York in May.
I have also made a flower piece this week to use as new teaching samples
