Teaching in Hebden Bridge

I’ve just had 2 really good days of teaching at the Quilt Cabin, lots of new and very talented students.

Students worked really hard, and in a day and went home with some almost finished pieces. The workroom looked chaotic – creative mess

Have you spotted the mince pies in the middle of the table?

I have completed another of my International Threads Quilts. I was going to wait until after Christmas to post a picture of this quilt but it seemed appropriate to post it now, as it is all winter jumpers. I think I will call it

“Which jumper shall I wear today?”

It is 40cm x 80cm. All hand dyed 100%wool felt with additional machine stitching using lana Thread.

I have ordered a new camera so will have some better photos soon.

  1. I love that your students are capturing the essence without reproducing the images photographically. This is the way I love my students to approach their work, too. Looks like they will go home with some nice pieces!
